  • I joined the website, now what do I do? This phase of the social network is for Artists, so if you’re an Artist or Production Member, after you join, you should build your first custom Resume here. Once you’ve built your Resume, you can connect to the Resumes of your colleagues through the Production, Company and Venue pages that your Resume links to. If you’d like to print or share your Resume, build multiple Resumes, add video or multiple headshots/images, or make a custom URL, you can become a Power Magnet to take advantage of those services here. And don’t forget to invite your fellow Artists to join Artist Magnet here.

  • Can I promote myself, my show, or my company on this site? You can promote yourself by becoming a Power Magnet, making custom URLs for your Resumes, and sharing them via social media and email with your friends, colleagues, prospective managers, agents or casting directors. You can connect to the pages of your shows and companies (or build new ones if they don’t exist yet) as you build the credits on your Resume. In our next phase, if you’re an administrator of a show, company or venue, we’ll allow you to edit and promote your own pages, so look out for that.

  • What is the difference between Production, Company and Venue? Production pages represent the shows you’ve worked on in the past, are currently working on, or will be working on in the future. Those pages show every Artist and Production Member associated with that production who has built a Resume on Artist Magnet and linked it to that production. If there are people who worked on that show who aren’t yet connected to the page, you can invite them to join Artist Magnet through the Add Artists button at the top of the page. A Company page lists all the past, current and upcoming shows produced by that company that are connected by the Artists who built those Production pages. A Venue page lists all the past, current and upcoming shows performed in that venue that are connected by the Artists who built those Production pages.

  • How do I edit Production, Venue and Company pages if I want to make changes to what's on there? To make any edits to pages beyond your Resume page, please contact us here, and detail specifically the changes you’d like to make, and our team will respond to your request as quickly as possible (please allow up to ten (10) business days for a response). Look out for a reply email from us as we may have follow-up questions regarding your requested changes.

  • Why should I spend money on a Power Magnet subscription? With a Power Magnet subscription, Artist Magnet will share your resume with a curated list of Industry agents, managers, casting directors and producers that can benefit your visibility as a professional Artist. In addition, the subscription allows you to build multiple Resumes (for example, you can have one for your Acting work and another for your Management work, or you can have a one page professional Resume highlighting your best work to print and share, and another longer CV that links to all your previous work), upload multiple images and links to videos on your Resumes, print and share your Resumes, and make custom URLs to easily direct other Users to your Resume pages. This allows you to fully utilize all the aspects of our social network and maximize your visibility to your colleagues and other potential contacts who can benefit your career.

  • Why can't I contact Casting Directors or Agents on here? Artist Magnet is designed as a social network for you to connect with your fellow Artists through the shows, venues and companies you’ve worked with. If you become a Power Magnet, as a benefit, we’ll share your Resume with our curated list of Los Angeles-based professional agents, managers, casting directors and producers. In a later phase of the social network, we’ll allow agents and casting directors to build and promote their own pages on the site, and allow you to interact with them through those pages, so look out for that.

  • Why can't I change the font or design of my Resume? The Resume Building and Resume View pages are developed with a professional standardized design in order to streamline connectivity to other Resumes, Company, Venue and Production pages on the network, and for professional sharing and printing. Although the design is established as a professional Industry standard for all Resumes in the network, we give you the ability for some customization by allowing you to rename and reorder some of your Resume sections, rows, columns and titles.

  • Why can't I search for shows or other people's Resumes? Artist Magnet is designed for Resumes and Production pages (i.e. the network) to be built organically by Artists, not artificially by programmers. So in this phase, you can find Resumes of your Directors and Artists who are connected to you through the shows, companies, and venues you’re associated with. In a later phase of the social network, you’ll be able to search all the Resumes, Production, Company and Venue pages on the network by name, date, location and a variety of other criteria, so look out for that.

  • Why can't I add and chat with friends on here like other major social networks? Artist Magnet is primarily designed as a tool for you to build and connect your custom Resumes to your colleagues through your past, current and upcoming shows. In a later phase of the social network, we’ll add a message feature for you to directly communicate with your friends and others in the network, including agents, managers, and casting directors, so look out for that.

  • Why can't I buy or sell tickets to shows on here? During this phase of Artist Magnet, Production, Company and Venue pages are primarily designed as tools to connect Artists’ resumes to each other through their work. In a later phase of the social network, companies and venues will have the ability to sell tickets to their shows which Artists and audience members can purchase through the site, so look out for that.

  • How do I cancel my Power Magnet subscription? To cancel your Power Magnet subscription at any time and for any reason, message us your request here - please allow up to ten (10) business days for the cancellation to process.

  • How do I delete my account? To delete your Artist Magnet at any time and for any reason, message us your request here here - please allow up to ten (10) business days for the cancellation to process.

  • Something's not working on the website, what do I do? We welcome your feedback to improve our social network, so please tell us what the issue is here - please try to be as specific as possible with what the issue is, and if you can, include a URL link to the page where the issue is happening in the social network, so we can resolve it as quickly as possible. Please allow up to ten (10) business days for a response regarding the issue.
